Teachers, Tutors, Mental Health Staff—  Assisting in the Prevention Not Suspension program for High Risk Teens.  (Day time, school hours)

 

Evening Assistants for SafeKids – Social Skills Training/Building - Prevention Workshops

 

Evening Assistants for Anger Management – Life Skills Violence Prevention Workshops

 

Evening Assistants for Teen Support Groups –Life Skills Training Workshops

 

Parent Component Facilitator – Each evening program and support group has a mandatory Parent Training Component which provides support, guidance and education to parents/guardians; enhancing parenting skills in a variety of areas that will enable them to support and guide their children in various situations.

 

Assistant for Winter/Spring Recess & Holiday Camps – Skill-building programs, Celebrating Diversity – building tolerance   Programs run for 1 week each.

                                    

Jr and Teen Leadership Council – Building Leadership Skills and Teaching Social Responsibility.  Groups, presentations, social activities, Peer Leadership Weekend, Service Learning

 

Summer Prevention Programs – Staff for all programs  Aides, Assistants, Leaders, Counselors-in-training, workshop leaders

· Morning glories for ages 4 – 8 runs for 3 – 4 wks in July   Times are 9:15 – 2:45 daily M – F *

· Kreative dahlias for ages 9 – 12 runs for 3 wks (July/August) Times 9:15 – 3:45 daily M – F

· Teen program for ages 13 – up runs for 2 weeks after Kreative dahlias . 

 

Other Opportunities………...

Office and Administrative Assistant Duties, Curriculum Design and Development, Grant Writing and Research, Research and Evaluation, Fund-raising and Community  Events, Public Relations and Marketing, Workshop Leaders (basketball, wood working, cartooning, dance, theater…), Outreach Programs, Special presentations to the youth (topics can include your experiences in areas – gangs, drugs, alcohol, eating disorder, friendships, family situation….) if you have a message to give, web design.
