Registration Now Underway for our
Summer Prevention Programs— 2010 Morning Glories for children ages 4 – 11/12 years old Children enjoy daily puppet shows, special guests, & prevention-focused lessons. Children are divided into small groups by age. Age-appropriate topics include: Making Friends, Expressing Feelings, Respect, Strangers, Safety & More Programs include art, recreation and free time in our unique “Multicultural Village” & Playground. Choose 1—3 weeks: July 5—9; July 12—16; July 19—23
Kreative Dahlia’s for ages 7 – 12/13 years old Creative arts workshops, recreational games, and other fun/educational activities and may include: Theater/Dance, Art Expression, Project Adventure, Fitness Expression, Karate, Horse Care, & more. Skill-building workshops may include: Friendships, Fitting In, Social Skills, Conflict Resolution, Peer Pressures, Feelings, Drug Education, & more. Participants are divided into age-appr groups with a max of 15/group) Choose 1—3 weeks: July 26—30; August 2—6; 9—13 Made the Date: Grand Finale August 13 - Friday 1:00
Teen Enrichment Program Ages 13/14 and up Based on ideas from teens, this program utilizes creative arts workshops, team-building projects, recreational activities, special presentations, and a variety of “field trips” designed to provide support and increase awareness in areas such as: Violence Prevention, Substance Abuse, Social Skills, Relationship Skills. Activity-based field trips may include: Sports Plus, New York City, Laser Kingdom, Splish Splash, etc. Educational-based field trips may include: an adolescent treatment center, a juvenile home, family court, Riverhead Jail 2-week Program - August 16—27, 2010
All programs have a fee, however we will work with all families to make this possible. Payment plans, sponsorships, sliding scale—You must apply Spaces are limited. New Participants If you are interested in registering for a program, you need to schedule an IFA—Initial Family Assessment for you and your child with one of our program staff.
Program Costs Sunshine offers payment plans, sliding scale, sponsorship opportunities for all programs (pending funding) we will ALWAYS work with a family and NEVER turn anyone away for financial reasons.
