Teen Support Groups                                                                                                    Weekly topics focus on adolescent issues and life skills training and include: Making healthy decisions, Friendships, Relationships, Drugs & alcohol, Conflict    resolution, Dealing with school, family & peer pressures, and more.

Mandatory Parent Component  included

 

 

Teen Leadership Council (TLC):

TLC aims to enhance leadership skills and social responsibility.  Program includes Social Activities, Service Learning and Community Service Projects, Field Trips & Special Guest Speakers, and more.  Program also offers the opportunity to participate in the Town-wide Peer Leadership Weekend.

TLC— 7:30—9:30 throughout the school year. (Activities and Field Trips are scheduled on a monthly basis)

This program has changed my child’s life.  He feels he can come to Sunshine and he is accepted for who he is.  He does not have to fall in to the pressures that he faces in school.  He looks forward to coming and wishes the program was every night.  Our teens need more positive places and things to do socially.  Thank you Sunshine!  Parent of a Teen

New Participants

If you are interested in registering for a program, you need to schedule an IFA—Initial Family Assessment for you and your child with one of our program staff.

 

Program Costs

Sunshine offers payment plans, sliding scale, sponsorship opportunities for all programs (pending funding) we will ALWAYS work with a family and NEVER turn anyone away for financial reasons.
