All of the Sunshine programs are designed to build self esteem and positive social skills, however each program has a specific focus.                                               All programs provide a mandatory Parent/Guardian Component.   

Our Programs

These supportive/educational groups teach children (ages 5 – 12) various skills that will help them in a variety of social situations. 

Social Skills Programs

Text Box: Sunshine provides support to face the challenges of adolescence through positive mentors, a safe structured environment, and opportunities to enhance positive social skills, leadership skills & social responsibility.

Teen Programs

This educational workshop provides tools and skills that will help children/parents (ages 9 – teens) understand anger, work through their anger and express their feelings in a healthy, positive way.

We provide Parenting Skills Workshops and some Adult Anger Management by one of our Family Specialists. 
This educational program is tailored to fit your individual needs.  
Court Approved for mandated clients.

These Prevention Programs provides your child/teen with a unique summer/vacation experience that is designed to build self-esteem and confidence & teach valuable skills for life.

Sunshine’s services are all education, mentoring and support.  If you are in need of a higher level of care, Sunshine will refer you to a variety of counselors, social workers, or therapists in various communities that may be able to meet your needs.  

John Venza, Licensed Social Worker 
is a consultant who utilizes a room at Sunshine.  John is experienced in working with children, adolescents and families.  If you have questions about insurance, fees, or are interested in his services, you must contact him directly at:

Outreach Services

New Participants

If you are interested in registering for a program, you need to schedule an IFA—Initial Family Assessment for you and your child with one of our program staff.

 

Program Costs

Sunshine offers payment plans, sliding scale, sponsorship opportunities for all programs (pending funding) we will ALWAYS work with a family and NEVER turn anyone away for financial reasons.
