Teen Services

• Working in collaboration with other youth-affiliated agencies, teens are given opportunities to participate in various programs and workshops,  Youth Councils, and other projects. S.P.C. believes that when youth give and become of value to others, this in turn increases their feelings of worthiness and builds a positive self-concept.

• Teen Enrichment/Anger Management: for youth-at-risk:  Is your teen beginning to make some choices that could lead them into some trouble?  This workshop will help keep the lines of communication open, provide support for the entire family and empower youth to make healthier choices for their future. Violence prevention (anger management) & substance abuse prevention compoenents.  

* Teen Support (group counseling) meets weekly on thursday evenings - providing a safe envirronment for youth, positive role models, and the opportunity to talk about various issues that they are experiencing. PARENT SUPPORT GROUP HELD AT THE SAME TIME

•   Teen Summer Enrichment Program:  Getting youth off the streets and into positive environments. (currently registering for summer program - see Summer 07 info)

• Teen Youth Council & support group:  Teaching leadership skills and social responsibility while providing support, education and positive mentors. Adolescence can be a challenging time for all.  Youth need support and guidance and safe places to go.  (Parent support group meet at the same time)

Council meets weekly on Tuesday Evenings (7:00 -9:00) and provides a variety of opportunities for youth to be involved in the following....

• Community Service Projects
• Summer Volunteer Programs
• Holiday Assistance
• Peer Leadership Training
• Fun & Educational Field Trips
